1. DXF files open as empty drawings
This error occurs if a DXF file from Autocad 2000 (or later) was saved as DXF 2000. The reason is that DXF 2000 uses special undocumented extensions. The usual solution (also in industry) is to save the files as DXF in version 14 and then the files will open without a problem.
