SnapsCleaner is a tool for photographers, designers and operators of image databases. The program minimizes possible problems during the exchange of JPEG image files and increases process reliability.

Metadata is an enormous help in the organisation of an image database. Yet metadata can be a problem if programs do not generate standard metadata or insert information into the file which cannot be transferred (e.g. the saving location of the file).

Unfortunately, there are many programs which generate incorrect metadata.

A further problem is that incorrect metadata can lead to a crash of the database. And in the worst case this can lead to undesirable disputes concerning liability.

SnapsCleaner increases the process reliability of your workflow by quickly and reliably checking the JPEG picture files for embedded metadata and simply deleting all incorrect items. In addition, SnapsCleaner checks the general integrity and validity of each JPEG file (correct number of bytes, correct data stream, decompression test).
